Century Associates Director Emily Forth Appointed to RICS Governing Council
We are delighted to announce that Century Associates Director, Emily Forth, has been appointed to the RICS Governing Council.
The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is the leading professional body for the surveying industry worldwide. As its highest governance body, the RICS Governing Council provides strategic oversight of the profession, including requirements for entry into surveying, professional standards, regulation and the long-term direction of the institution.
Emily's appointment represents a significant achievement both personally and professionally, recognising her longstanding commitment to the surveying profession and the built environment sector.
Championing Professional Standards in Surveying
With more than a decade of industry experience, Emily has consistently advocated for high professional standards, improved regulation and greater accessibility within the surveying profession.
Throughout her career, she has been passionate about supporting positive change across the industry, helping to raise awareness of the value Chartered Surveyors bring to development, property and construction projects while encouraging wider participation in the profession.
Her appointment to the RICS Governing Council provides an opportunity to contribute directly to the future direction of surveying, ensuring that professional standards continue to evolve in response to the needs of clients, practitioners and society.
Supporting Diversity and Inclusion in the Built Environment
As the founder of a female-led Chartered Surveying practice and a working parent, Emily has a particular interest in improving support, retention and career progression for women and working parents within the built environment sector.
She is a strong advocate for flexible career pathways and believes that attracting and retaining diverse talent is essential to the long-term success of the surveying profession.
By contributing to discussions at Governing Council level, Emily hopes to help shape a profession that is more accessible, inclusive and reflective of the communities it serves.
